Reef Guru Coral Restoration Diver Course

In collaboration with Atoll Marine Centre, learn how to restore corals with hands-on experience.

After you have completed your Reef Guru eLearning, you will join your instructor for a knowledge development session. The first course dive includes a buoyancy clinic and coral ID. Dive 2 covers coral garden maintenance and data collection. On dive 3 you will be search along our reef for corals of opportunity, which you will then attach to our coral frames or nursery on dive 4.

PADI Sea Turtle Awareness Specialty Course

Learn all about sea turtles, why they are important and what we can do to protect them.

After a knowledge development session and workshop, on sea turtle biology, behaviours, threats and more, we will embark on a double excursion dive which will include Kuredu Caves - known for the largest population of green sea turtles in the Maldives.

PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris Specialty Course

Join the movement to stop ocean pollution.

Learn about the debris problem both globally and locally and what we should and shouldn’t remove from our oceans, before gearing up and cleaning up one of our local reefs. After the dive we will work together to sort through and survey the debris found, submitting the data to PADI AWARE’s global database.

PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty Course

Learn all about sharks and what we can do to protect them.

Sharks are an essential part of a healthy ocean. This course explores why they are vulnerable, the importance of a healthy shark population, managing threats and how to take action to protect them. After a knowledge development workshop we will embark on 2 boat dives to see shark behaviours in the wild.

PADI Whale Shark Awareness Specialty Course

All about whale sharks, diving procedures and how you can contribute to citizen science!

Starting with a fun workshop and presentation on Whale Shark behaviours, biology and identification, we will then embark on two excursion dives to try and spot the biggest fish in the sea in their natural environment. For non-divers, this course can also be done snorkelling.

PADI AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty Course

This dry course helps you appreciate the complexity of coral reef habitats and teaches how you can help conserve these vital systems. Anyone who has an interest in the aquatic world can take this course. There are no prerequisites or age restrictions and no water sessions are required.

PADI Fish ID Specialty Course

If you want to identify what you see on your dives then this course is for you.

The Fish ID specialty course starts off with a 1/2 day classroom presentation and identification workshop before we use our newly learnt skills to identify the fish found on 2 shore dives. At Aqua Dive we use the REEF (Reef Environmental Education Foundation) surveys, so the data you collected will be submitted and used by scientists on a global scale.

PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty Course
